Kiddy Krafts

I finally tried a homemade Gak/Slimy kinda thing recipe I saw on Pinterest that I have been dying to try :) < if you ain't on it, GET your tush on it!!!! >

It's sooooo EASY yet my boys are such hands on, they love love touching things. They love learning w their hands :)

Here's what u need:

- Borax: it's a powder all natural cleaning product that is used for many things! I got this huge box at Target for $3.24 in the laundry section :)
- Food Coloring whatever colors u want :) remember u can mix colors to make a color they don't have!
-Elmer's Glue. I wanted to try the clear one, but Target didn't have any & my kids were too anxious to head to another store. So I bought 5 glues at $.74 each!
-1 1/2 cup of water

Measure 1 teaspoon of borax in warm to hot water & mix & set aside

In a separate bowl, empty 1 whole glue container & mix 1 cup of warm to hot water. Mix until smooth.

Add desired food coloring

Pour your borax mix into the glue, water mix & stir & then Eventually you can use your hands :)

And there you have it :) empty the extra water & let you nice slimy gak sit dry :)))) lol the cool thing tho is, it's not slimy at all! If u let it sit for 5 minutes It forms & it's this stretchy gak thingy!!!!

And it literally kept my kids occupied ALL DAY!!!!!

And as you can see they LOVED it!

Thank You Pinterest for making me another happy customer :))))

Have Fun doing this with your Kiddies!!!!!

Sunday With Grandma

We LOVE to go visit my Mom at Skylawn. We used to go faithfully like a couple times a month before I had more than kid, but life got crazy & we could never fit properly bc all of my siblings + my kids wanted to go & my car can only hold 5 with seat belts :( I hated driving up there with a risk of getting pulled over, so I always chose safety over visiting my Mom when it came down to it. So whenever we go, we savor each moment we're there!

Today was such a beautiful day that I told my Hubby let's go visit my Mom!

We stopped by Michaels & got some fake Fall colored flowers for my Mom since the real ones either never last or the deers come eat it. So fake ones always win the vote!

As always, my Hubby willingly doing the dirty work & cleaning around Mommy

He sends these 2 to fetch for a bucket of water to clean off the headstone

Joined by Jonah after filling up the bucket of water

Going back to help Daddy while u carry the bucket

What the hele pelu? Lol yes he's really using one to trim the grass :)

Yay I finally got to use my Breast Cancer garden tools I got for Christmas! They were sooo cute!!!!

Never in a million years would I think my kids & I would be cleaning my Moms headstone.... I wish she were here instead....

Having a quick snack for all their hard-work :)

My kids find it entertaining to start up the hill, run downhill non stop to gain speed & they fall :)

It was the PERFECT HOT day to come visit Mom!!!! Not a cloud in sight!!!

Before leaving, he must've said 'Bye Grandma Atili' a hundred times waving & opening her picture. So sweet!

Is it really possible living without you???!

I can't seem to fathom the words on how MUCH I miss you & WISH you were here with me...

Thursdays in Mrs. Timms Class

Every Thursdays I volunteer in Isaiah's Montessori 2nd/3rd grade class.

Today was only my second week & it's going quite well. It's really really easy stuff! Well at-least for now it is :)

It's funny observing Isaiah in a different atmosphere instead of being home. He acts the same, but different. I can't quite put my finger on it.

But it's cute to observe from afar :)

Yup pretty hard stuff right? Lol

Turning these...

Into these booklet thingys :)

Geez they grow so fast :( I can still remember clearly his birth 7 years ago!

Here he is with his class taking a timed 5 minute math quiz right before the bell rings at 3:05pm :)

So Sweet of Him

So Sweet! My Son Isaiah had a field trip today to one of our Farmer's Market.

And he was so sweet to think of me & get me flowers to surprise me with after school :)
I told him he didn't have to get anything for me, & I asked him 'well what did you get Babe?'
He got himself some yummy strawberries!!!
He was trying to describe to me the samples they get & a certain a fruit... But I didn't get it right.

Looks like well be paying a visit to one if our many Farmers Markets around San Mateo just so he can show me what fruit he was talking about :) and hopefully many future visits with them to stay eating healthy :)))))

He's definitely following in his Daddy's footsteps :)

Like Father Like Son!

I'm one BLESSED Momma!!!!

Soccer Season is in Progress

Yay :) my boys both started their 2011 soccer season on Saturday!

Isaiah had his game first at 12 noon & Jonah had his at 1pm. Ideally in a perfect world, I wish they both played at the same park! BUT they don't :( Because they both play in different age groups, they have to. I've already looked at both their schedules, & we will have some games where they both start the same time, some will be an hour from each other, & some even hours apart which I'm dreading bc I'd rather have them both early Saturday mornings to get them out of the way.... But once again only in a PERFECT world :) but I shouldn't complain...Im just grateful they're in an active environment, making new memories & having fun :))))

Since I am Team Mom for both my boy's teams (never again! Lol I will just do one next year!) I was in charge of ordering the banner for both teams, set a snack schedule for both teams, help plan the end of the season party (which I haven't really looked into yet! Last game is Nov. 12 so we usually have on right after the game. I think I have plenty of time!) And come up with a coach & coach assistant gifts :) I have some cute ideas in mind, but I do want to check with the other parents since this a Team Gift from all of our lil players :)

Friday night I prepped Jonah's soccer snacks & their after the game snack for their hard-work :)

Jonah has a total of 8 players on his team. I forgot to picture their fresh cut oranges in 2 1 gallon ziploc bags for their half time snack :)

My Hubby took Isaiah to his game quarter til 12 so he cab set up the banner before the game started, while I was getting Jonah & Micah ready at home. We met them there at Bayside where Isaiah's games will be held. This is Isaiah's 3rd year playing so he was pretty excited to continue playing!

We were thrilled my Hubby's parents could join us & watch both games! They are always working so I totally felt appreciative of their presence. I know my kids were happy too to see them! Especially Isaiah, reminding them a week in advance to the whole house, "Remember guys, I play next Saturday at noon! Come watch me play then watch Jonah's game after!"

Because Jonah started at 1pm, we could only stay maybe 20-25 min so we can drive to his game at Los Prados Park. And plus the parking there is so sucky over there! So I wanted to go early!

Jonah was one of the starting 4 & I couldn't wait to see him play! OMG this lil boy was a quite a surprise! Jonah is actually great on the field!!!! He has excellent ball control & he actually goes IN there & kicks the ball & actually makes an effort! I was all smiles that game! Especially since my poor boys come from Non-Athletic parents or any sort of athleticism in our blood! Lol I think Jonah just might've broken that trait :) lol He got to play 2 quarters of the game. He along w another teammate also his cousin, Sione, made 2 goals for our Green Beans!!!

It was just the cutest thing to see him out there on the field & have a great time!

When My Hubby & Isaiah joined us at the second quarter, my Hubby said we (yes unfortunately the LOUD Tongan parents!) were extremely loud!!! We couldn't help it! Lol we were their cheerleaders :)))))

Looking forward to an awesome Season Team Red Bulldogs & Team Green Beans!!!

My Boys say the Funniest Things!!!

One of the main reasons why I wanted to hurry & start a scrapbook for each of my boys is because at their certain age, they think a certain way so they will eventually talk a certain way!

My kids have the funniest sayings, comments, questions that when they say it, I wish I had a recorder so I can record it & play it back & have a great laugh & to document it in their scrapbook! But of course I don't have one & of course they say it at different times of the day! So that's not ideal! Lol

So I just want to basically record their funny sayings in this entry! I will just keep adding to this entry every time I hear a new 'funny quote' from my boys :)

So be sure to check back often so you can get a great laugh too :))))

Jonah- Daddy, what is wrong with your stomach? Do you have a big big stomachache???
So in our household, stomachache just mainly means 'big tummy' lol

Jonah- Do girls fart?
Me- Yes Baby everyone does!
Jonah- But do girls fart?
Me- Yes! Why?
Jonah- Just asking!
Omg!!!

Jonah- Mom, you're such a great wiper!
Me- huh? What do you mean Jonah?
Jonah- you know, after I take a bath, you know how to wipe lotion all over my body really good!!
Me- why thank you Jonah! I never looked at it like that :) lol

Micah you're easily entertained & laugh at everything funny & unusual to you!!!
If anyone says: booty, poop, stinky butt, you crack up like you've never heard those words before in your life!!! I know there's more words, I just can't think of it right this second :)

Isaiah- Dad why are you dark & your Mom is light?
Laughing and a slight pause
Dad- why are you so dark & your Mom is light?
Laughing & Isaiah shrugs
Isaiah- maybe because I'm your son!
Lmbo! We were hecka laughing!!!!!!

Every time I ask if if you to do something, like for an example:
Me- Micah go brush your teeth before bed
Micah- I did already Mom last morning
That's his answer to EVERYTHING meaning he doesn't wanna do it :) lol

Bath-Time = Best Time!

As much as I loathe the floor getting soaking wet from their never ending water slide they make up or continuous games they come up in the bath, I STILL let them have their baths!

They L-O-V-E it!!! I don't mind it too much beside the watered floor, bc it gives me time to gather their PJ's, underwear & make their bed! And if it has been a super busy day, I can throw a load or two in or I can wash dishes or clean the kitchen while they're having a blast in the bath :)

Until then, I guess I don't mind it as much....

Because one day, I know I'm going miss this at their age :-)

High School Already????!

Yes, unfortunately she has started high school! I know, I can't believe it neither :(
Time has definitely flown by so fast I can never EVER keep up!!

THIS is how I remember her... When she was just a baby. Endless changing diapers, bottle feedings, holding her everywhere all the time because I was always watching the kids! I guess those are just some the perks when you're the oldest of 6 growing kids! I have been making formula bottles since I was in the 2nd grade! Wow! Now that I think of it that's my oldest son, Isaiah's age!!! Geez! I must've been a great helper to my Mom! Lol I hope I was :-/

Now she's blossomed into a beautiful Young Woman that I barely even know anymore! I mean its not like I live w her & know her every move, but she definitely keeps me posted on what's going on in her crazy life of hers!

I can definitely say that she's got a great head on her shoulders & being the baby sister, she's very fortunate to have lived through a lot of our 'older sister mistakes/ flaws' that I know she learns from! But just because she's one of those girls you don't have to worry about, she would still like to still be 'checked on' now & then just to have that assurance, ok so someone is looking out for me kinda feeling is what was understood by her when she was telling me at her back to school night at Aragon last Thursday.

I had the privilege to go w her to my old stomping grounds aka my old high school where I lived there almost 7 years ago! Wow I feel even older :-(

I felt so special she asked me to take her to be her guardian that night! And boy was I super duper excited to go!!! We even shared some similar teachers I had my freshman year! Like the super boring science teacher, Mr. Doyle who constantly had a severe case of sweaty armpits & he always reminded me of Santa bc of his unwanted jolly-ness & his round pot belly shape but really nice. It was just so fun to walk through hallways & reminisce of those unforgettable 4 years I have spent there willingly & unwillingly! Lol Old lockers, the pyramid, the ramp, the balcony, G Hall where all the Polys kicked it & so on :) I even begged her 3 times to take a picture w me at my old lockers & she denied me twice & annoyingly finally gave into me! Lol

I feel very confident w Tupou that she's going to go very far in school. She's also the blessed one out of us sisters to be the 'athletic one' so I'm sure she'll get a scholarship through either sports or her smarts! But I warned her that she HAS to keep her grades up! Anybody can be great in sports, BUT if you don't meet their GPA's colleges don't want you :)
I know right bc I'm a college graduate huh? Lmbo!

I just can't believe how grown she is!!! I'm excited for her future endeavors & I will be more then happy to help her every step of the way!!!

I Love You Bobo!!!!
I know Mom is definitely smiling down on you saying she's done somethin right when it came to you!!!!
Make her proud!!!!

I think we're the only ones that look alike on my family! Don't you think? Lol

And here's the one of us at my old lockers that she finally embarrassingly gave into me :)

I sure love this sporty chick of mine!!!
